Pesos and Music Machines
Today I made a peso trade. In exchange for some peso I got a music machine. It is very futuristic; in fact, it is from the future. The future has more dust inside it than the present as the future is older and has had more time to turn its many possessions into dust.
I started putting white on as the time has nearly arrived to place color on. I have decided to begin doing, so I will.

Jen just left as well as Sara. This isn’t Jen or Sara but you don’t know the difference.
Here is some fruit.
Today it rained and I ordered tamales by phone via google translator.

no entiendo nada
As of late I have been wondering what I am doing in this place. I can not speak. I need help. So much help it is unreasonable. I have never put much importance in words but this is really getting pathetic. I have to get a tutor, something….I can not carry on like this.

Coffee, Sound & Candle Corners
I have pots and pans now - this equals coffee in the mornings. I was able to pick up some local honey at the market Tuesday as well as pollen for my toast. I have new appliances as well.
Cody comes in today. Also, canvases will be completed this evening. I have been texting in Spanish through a google translation device…….the internet always seems to dismiss itself around 11 each night and resurrect itself in the mornings so any text messages received after 11 or so I am left guessing the meaning.
I have set my schedule in line with noise and light. When it is dark and quite I sleep. When the sun comes up and roosters start to crow I have no choice but to rise. Windows stay open here - at all times and sound magnifies in this concrete floored - brick walled - metal doored Casa.
At night I light candles in all corners and wash my ears in the angelic musical maneuvering that is Balmorhea.
I have a maid, and a lady across the street washes my clothes. I enjoy it here.

Language
I started attempting to learn Spanish yesterday by meeting for a makeshift “class” in a girls house a few blocks down the road. Today we met at my place.
Here is Paz pouting because she doesn’t want her picture taken.

Week Numero Uno
This is how it began. This scene lasted 22 hours.
I arrived with a bicycle, a backpack and two girls.
We were immediately welcomed in to a large three story casita for naps. Thank you Kate. Kate once worked at Cosmic friends - many of you may well know her. We then moved on to foods cooked by Kate and chopped by girls fresh from a garden down the road a bit.
Maria left - Kate middle - Petra right
The girls were great company but after a week they had to go back home to Dallas. Courtney - be friends with these girls…….they go to your school - love them they are wonderful.
Goodbye Maria.
Goodbye Petra.
I’m not sure who these people are they were hanging and exploding but it lasted for hours - one after another.
POW
I just rented a studio - it’s a beautiful space with a rooftop arbor, more pictures tonight or tomorrow.
By the way - I moved to Mexico.
